2010-03-05 - Targetsim FZ-LLC has recently celebrated its fifth birthday. On this occasion, we received a certificate, which honoured our company's "tremendous contribution to the success of Dubai Knowledge Village". The certificate was signed by the community's Executive Director, Dr. Ayoub Kazim. Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) is the largest community for human resources management professionals in the Middle East. It provides a ready environment for a variety of knowledge-based entities including various HR management and support organizations.

2010-01-11 - In response to the growing demand, Targetsim is launching a dedicated banking simulation for Islamic Banking / Shariah-compliant Banking. The new version includes Islamic Banking principles and Shariah-compliant products, e.g. Sukuks. Target audience are Islamic Banks, as well as conventional financial institutions in the Gulf region and abroad who add Shariah-compliant products to their portfolio.

2009-12-30 - Dubai based WASL Asset Management Group enhanced its General Training Programme for future leaders with a simulation based module called ‘Business in Action’. Target audience are participants of WASL’s long-term GTP curriculum also introducing them to a variety of departments within the company. “A great way to learn the principles of the business”, commented one of the participants of the first batch. WASL operates a wide spectrum of services in property management, project management and investment management. The name WASL is the Arabic word for ‘connection’ and the former name of Dubai, reflecting the city’s historic position as the trading hub of the region.

2009-12-15 - A simulation based deep dive on Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) is now available for banks and financial institutions. Participants get acquainted with ETFs in a risk-free yet very close-to-reality environment using a sophisticated and fully bilingual (Arabic/English) trading interface with an authentic look-and-feel. The course module offers in-depth information on features, markets and products and insightful inputs on picking and trading ETFs.

2009-12-15 - A global technology leader carried out its EMEA Kick-off for Sales and Consultants to the Telecommunication Industry by Targetsim. At the 2-day event, more than 140 participants experienced value and benefits of their IT solutions for their telco clients’ business. Thanks to a customized Targetsim®Simulation, impact on their CAPEX, OPEX, productivity and profitability became tangible. The event was part of the company’s transformation strategy from product seller to solution provider.

2009-11-11 - Reading and interpreting financial statements and key performance indicators was an important learning objective of a seminar conducted by the National Bank of Abu Dhabi last week. Participants praised the "very interesting, stimulating and interactive" seminar. The bank used a Targetsim simulation for the first time to raise financial awareness of key employees.

2009-09-30 - Mondi is an integrated packaging and business paper producer, employing 33,400 people across 35 countries worldwide. As of November 2009 Mondi Academy will add a new module ‘Finance II’ to its curriculum. The new programme will complement the successful ‘Finance I’ module with a deep dive into Mondi’s strategy and company specific KPI’s. Both modules feature hands-on experiential learning based on a customized Targetsim®Simulation.

2009-06-24 - Sustainable, long-term trading strategies not focusing on risky and quick gains was the main topic of the new training program “Stock Market Trading”, launched in Muscat on May 24-25, 2009. The seminar under the patronage of the Muscat Security Market (MSM) was organized by Targetsim and the Oman College for Banking and Financial Studies.

2009-06-24 - Recent economic developments show the importance of a strong financial system. Banks with a strong capital base and prudent risk management as stipulated in the Basel II accord are a must. The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) acted as patron for a program, which tackled Basel II compliance. The program was delivered by Targetsim in Muscat on May 17-19, 2009.

2009-03-10 - Targetsim completed the implementation of its new CRM system. The IT platform based on Microsoft Access allows documentation, management and secure storage of information. The customized tool supports Targetsim’s constant effort to provide maximum customer service. During the next implementation phase Targetsim’s subsidiaries in Germany and the UAE will be linked to the tool to guarantee integration of data over the same platform.

2009-03-10 - SKU, a renowned Swiss Management Institute specialized in developing general management competencies, selected Targetsim to contribute with its Value Management Simulation to its annual Advanced Management Program. Over 50 participants of the Program will use the simulation to try out strategic options for performance improvement and value related KPIs in a risk free environment. The event will take place in Brunnen on March 18-19, 2009.

2009-03-10 - Targetsim was invited to participate in the 21st Annual Controllers’ Convention being held on April 1, 2009 at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland’s top university for Business Administration. The annual controller forum unites CFOs and Controllers of major companies and institutions of the private and public sector. A selection of Targetsim products will be demonstrated on site, including simulations on Value Management, Strategic Manufacturing and Banking.

2009-02-27 - Nawras, the Sultanate of Oman’s customer-friendly communications provider, nominated their Customer Care and Customer Service Champions to participate in a 5-day Incentive Program in Zurich. The simulation based program delivered by Targetsim in Zurich focused on creating a unique customer experience for Nawras’ different customer segments. It was the 2nd program of this kind delivered for Nawras in Switzerland.

2008-09-29 - The National Bank of Ras al-Khaimah (RAKBANK) selected Targetsim to provide interactive programmes on Banking Business Strategies. RAKBANK reported a net profit of AED 311.62 million for the half year ended 30th June 2008. “We are proud that yet another renowned bank in the U.A.E. partners up with us to offer high quality interactive programmes to their staff”, says Ahcène Baatiche, Managing Partner of Targetsim. The first interactive session will held for the bank’s senior managers in October.

2008-09-29 - One of the world's biggest technology groups with more than 190,000 employees worldwide signed a contract with Targetsim for the design of a procurement simulation. The simulation will support the group’s initiatives towards high performance strategic purchasing, operational efficiency and optimizing of New Working Capital (NWC). Critical success factors like supplier management, frame contracts, bundeling of volumes and make-or-buy decisions will be part of the simulation. The roll-out is scheduled to start in December 2008.

We are proud to contribute again to one of HP’s international sales events: The Targetsim®Government simulation will be part of a 4-day intensive programme in Böblingen for 40 EMEA Key Account Managers to the Public Sector. The simulation has been customized for HP and includes the impact of IPG solutions on ministries’ business processes and performance.
